Fibromyalgia and Being Blank

Topics: Fibromylagia, Sleep

I feel like Kathleen Kelly.

“When I’m confronted by someone I get tongue tied and my mind goes blank.  Then I spend the rest of the night tossing and turning over what I should have said.  For example what should I have recently said to… a bottom dweller who recently belittled my existence?”

Except the only thing I’ve been confronted by is a great idea and a blank blog post.  And the only thing betlittling my existence is this blank post and the great idea still stuck in my skull.

It is too late for Kate.  She can’t put her thoughts into words…

I will try again tomorrow.

I’m glad to find your blog (found you on Twitter). I have fibromyalgia and keep finding more and more things that are caused by it and how to deal with it. My family think I’m really losing it when I go blank and I’m getting so forgetful!

I understand. I have asked my family to help me cover for my decreased memory and capacity for visual stimulation. They do little things to help me remember, to prevent me from forgetting to remember, and to remind me when I forget. Sometimes I am tempted to be offended when they remind me but then I remember… I asked for their help.

Good luck with your fibro. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
